Candida Diet—A wonderful healthy diet

Candida is a yeast that occurs normally in the body but can grow beyond healthy levels in some if not controlled. You can control levels in your body by following a Candida diet. Excessive Candida can cause oral thrush, skin infections and vaginal yeast infections in women. While these are not fatal, they can be quite uncomfortable.

Acute Candida Production

A Candida detoxification diet or cleaning plan can help alleviate and eliminate sudden Candida infection. A diet for Candida yeast infection typically calls for a complete elimination of foods containing sugar or yeast for up to six weeks. Foods to limit on an anti Candida diet include caffeine, leavened bread, beer and wine, chocolate, foods containing more than 25% of their calories from fat, gluten, wheat and dairy foods. The simplest Candida diet includes healthy servings of chicken, seafood, fruits and non-starchy vegetables.

Simple Candida Test

No need to head to the doctor’s office, you can do a Candida test at home. Before drinking or putting anything your mouth in the morning, work up some saliva and spit into a full glass of plain water. Check the glass periodically. If you are free of Candida, your saliva will float to the top and stay there for at least 30 minutes. If you have high Candida levels, cloudy strings will begin to sink to the bottom. There may also be a cloud that forms and suspends itself in the middle or bottom of the glass if you have a Candida yeast infection.

Preventative Candida Diet

Before you come down with an infection, you can start a Candida Albicans diet to prevent the overgrowth of the Candida yeast. Foods allowed on the Candida
detoxification diet include fresh vegetables and juices except carrot juice, brown rice, rice cakes, sesame crackers, soy products, herbs, nuts and seeds, oatmeal, meat, fish, eggs, lentils and beans.

Exercise should be increased in cooperation with a diet for Candida. If you suffer from yeast infections, avoid cycling and boating and make it a habit to shower immediately after exercising.
